Whenever we come together, conflict is a possibility. Our students are explicitly taught the four pillars of conflict resolution to empower them for life.
W - Walk Away - sometimes the best way to deal with a minor conflict is to walk away, remove yourself from the situation
I - Ignore - learning to ignore comments that are meant to hurt your feelings can be powerful. What we believe doesn't harm us, doesn't harm us
T - Talk it Out - there are times when talking through a conflict can be beneficial. It's important to use "I" statements (e.g., "I didn't like it when you told me I couldn't play"; "It hurt my feelings when you pushed me")
S - Seek Help - whenever you feel that you can't resolve a conflict on your own, always tell an adult
